I. Welcome and
Introductions
President
Petlichkoff called
to order the regular meeting of the Dearborn Federation
of Neighborhood Association at 7:38pm on Wednesday,
November 2, 2011 in
the Mayor’s Conference Room. The Following
members signed-in on the roster and were in attendance.
This roster reflects how members represented themselves

II. Approval
of 10/05/2011 Minutes
The DFNA
minutes for October, 2011 passed.
III. Treasurer’s
Report
The Balance,
as of October 31, 2011 was unchanged at $884.43.
IV. Guest
Speakers
Amy Chesnut,
from McKenna Associates, provided an overview of the
process and results of the public input portion of the
City of Dearborn’s Master Plan, a plan currently in the
process of completion that will be used to plan for the
future of the city over the next twenty-five years. A
slide show was prepared but not presented based upon an
electrical malfunction. Despite the setback, Amy answered
everyone’s questions and concerns regarding the
influence and role these public meetings had.
V. Mayor’s
DFNA Liaison
John Cascardo
reminded everyone that election day is Tuesday, November
8th. He indicated that leaf pick-up began on 10/24/11 and
will end on 12/02/11, and if there are any questions, call
943-2444. He then read the rules and guidelines regarding
this program. John Cascardo also announced that there will
be free shredding on November 5th at 2951 Greenfield from
8am to noon. Proof of residency is required for this. The
DPW will shred up to 50 lbs., or up to 5 paper boxes of

Business & Neighborhood News
There will be a DFNA Holiday party on Wednesday,
December 7th, beginning at 7pm. A limit of $150 was
provided. Tarek Baydoun to supply food from New Yasmeen
Bakery
Ryan Woods provided a
verbal and written report of the efforts of Save Our Pools
for the 2011 season.
Executive Board
Nominations occurred and the following were nominated for
the 2012 DFNA Executive Board; Mary Petlichkoff for
President, Maureen McIlrath for Vice President, Tarek
Baydoun for Treasurer and Jane Ahern for Secretary.

The next DFNA
meeting will take place on Wednesday, January 4, 2012.
