Meeting Minutes for December 01, 2010

1.               Call to order:

Terry Pulido: Called the meeting to order at 7:10 pm.

2.               Approval of the November minutes.

Jane Ahern motioned to approve the September 2010 minutes, Colette Dunsmore seconded.  Minutes were approved.

3.               Treasurer’s Report:

Ned Nikodem reported:

          Beginning balance                             $914.43
          Income   dues                                 +  $30.00
          Expense                                                0.00
          Balance as of 12/01/2010                  $ 944.43

4.               Annual Holiday Party. As has been customary for our December meeting and election of Officers this meeting is curtailed to allow for socializing and friendship. The party was Catered by Park Place and a good time was had by all.

5.               DFNA Business: Election of Officers

Nominations of officers were as follows:

·        Mary Petlichkoff –President
   Maureen McIlrath – Vice President
   Jane Ahern – Secretary
   Ned Nikodem – Treasurer

All positions were un-opposed. The slate was elected as nominated.

We would like to recognize and thank our past president Terry Pulido for her decade of service to the DFNA, all the while serving on the executive board. Terry has held all elected positions. Dedicated individuals like Terry help make Dearborn a special place, Thank You Terry!

6.               Speaker: Mayor O’Reilly

Mayor O’Reilly Opened the floor for a questions and answers discussion. Topics covered included: The recent passing of a three year budget, shared city services, minimum public safety staffing, leaf pick-up, commuter rail, and convention center status.

7. Adjournment:

With there being no further business Scott Smith motioned for adjournment, Steve Sharp  seconded. Meeting was adjourned at 8:55 PM.
